Dyson Beauty Lab at Funan Mall

Dyson owner is recently in the spotlight for his purchases of the penthouse and Bukit Timah bungalow. But in this post, let us focus on his products, the main star of the show.

On the 3rd of July, the Dyson 2019 Hair Show was hosted to celebrate Singapore’s top professional hair stylists who are equipped with the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer professional edition. The event also marked the first anniversary of the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer professional edition in Singapore. In runway fashion, a series of trending hair looks created by Dyson stylists were showcased at the event. The looks were modern-day iterations of the 90s bombshell, 80s front flip, rockstar and beach bun.

To try out the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer or the Dyson Airwrap styler, customers can now visit the recently launched Dyson Demo Store – Beauty Lab at Funan. This is the world’s first Dyson Beauty Lab in the world, and we can all now experience a hands-on experience demonstration of the Dyson beauty gadgets before burning our hole in our pockets (but really, all my friends say that they are worth the splurge and investment!). Freestyling and customization services are offered in this Beauty Lab. Curious as to how different the Beauty Lab would be as compared to me trying it out at other retail stores that sell Dyson, I approached Beauty Lab on my own accord in Funan Mall and I was served by Shawn. I have shown my interest in the Dyson Airwrap and Shawn sat me down in one of the styling stations just like in a hair salon with the standard mirrors and tools laid out at the side. Only thing was, all the gadgets be it the comb or the handheld mirrors are all embossed with the Dyson logo. Shawn explained to me which attachments work well on my kind of hair – which is thick and coarse (due to multiple bleaching). He guided me on the steps on how to curl my hair with the barrel attachment. I got the hang of using the Airwrap quite fast, thanks to insightful tips and tricks that Shawn has given me. If you are hesitant in getting the curler just like me, do head to this beauty lab to give this product a try. It’s very much like a car showroom where you get to test drive the car before you made the decision on the investment.

Wet-To-Dry Styling Service

The new Dyson Demo Store – Beauty Lab offers four styling stations to allow people to test and experience the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer and Dyson Airwrap Styler. Professionally trained hair stylists will be on hand to offer styling advice and wet-to-try styling services.

I may not be a Dyson owner yet, but if you have already owned its products, the store will also be the place to go for trying out for brand-new attachments.
