Guardian and Watsons 40% off Cosmetics Haul

On August 22, 2019 by Michelle

Hi all!

Very rarely do you get huge discounts at our Guardian and Watsons store in Singapore, let alone a whopping 40% off all cosmetics (some brands are excluded).

Do take note that some brands are not included in the sale. I tried to cart out my Excel eyebrow pencil but becuase it is a new brand to Watsons, the discount cannot be applied. There were quite a few brands I had my eyes on and discounts were applicable – Barry M, Real Techniques and Wet n Wild.

This mini sized face buffer brush is the best thing to carry around in your travel pouch or make up bag. I have the full sized brush from Real Techniques but is always too long to be portable.

I am glad to have found this during the sale. Retailing at $15 originally. After the 40% discount, I only paid $9.

Having not explored Barry M cosmetics for a while now, these sprays (which is fairly new to me) caught my eye on the display. Beside this Dewy Finish spray, there were also Matte Finish spray, Illuminating spray and Face Primer spray. However, all of these 3 sprays that I did not get contains alcohol in one of their ingredient list. Alcohol is a big no-no for my dehydrated skin. Hence, this Dewy Finish spray stood out for it contains no alcohol. Shall give this a shot and if its becomes my favourite, I will surely review this.

Retailing at $11.90 originally. After the 40% discount, I only paid $7.10.

Having highly rated by Beautypedia.com as a very affordable natural-looking foundation, I knew I wanted to get this new foundation and has been in my wishlist for quite some time. A 40% discount sure reasons it out for me having to get this today! When I was testing this at the display, the spatula intrigues me since most of the foundations are either with pumps or in squeeze tubes. I hope at the end of use for this bottle, nothing is wasted.

This was purchased in Watsons and one downside is that there were only 4 shades available even though this shade is marketed in the US with at least 18 shades! What a downer. Still, it was such a steal for getting this.

Retailing at $13.90 originally. After the 40% discount, I only paid $8.35.

Lastly, one of my most surprising buys has to be this Barry M Nymph Radiance Serum Beauty Elixir. With all the facial oils as the craze now, I can imagine why brands would want to push out their own facial oils to the consumers. I for one, have been sucked into buying different facial oils to try. This cute little radiance serum, which is essentially a facial oil, is housed in a cute little apricot ceramic bottle. I can’t wait to test this out and write this a review. If you want to know more about facial oils, do check out Beauty Within informative video! I truly enjoyed how they explained all the different types of oils there are and each purpose.

  • Enriched with anti-inflammatory apricot oil, brightening papaya and soothing tea tree oil
  • Use as a moisturiser, primer or as an enriching night treatment

Retailing at $18.90 originally.After the 40% discount, I only paid $11.30.
